Capitol East End Project, Sacramento, CA

During 1998-1999 and 2001-2003, J.R. Conkey & Associates provided cost estimating services and peer review of previously prepared estimates for cost comparison purposes during the design phase of this high-profile, Capitol area project.

The electrical and fire suppression estimating component consisted of a complete, complex-wide fire alarm system for 5 multi-story office and parking complex totaling 1.2 million square feet as well as an emergency back-up system of 1-500 KW/1-750 generators with 6 225 KVA UPS and 12-125KVA PDU’s. The back-up system is to support six different state agency’s records in six computer rooms of approximately 2,000 square feet each located in five different complexes.

J.R. Conkey also provided cost estimating services for all civil construction for this project.  The civil construction package alone was valued at $15 million.
