Kern County Prison at Delano II

J.R. Conkey worked with the DMJM/ka2d team and performed extensive on-site construction management services for the new $335.5M 5,080 bed prison located in the city of Delano, Kern County, California.  It involved the construction of 408 Level I inmates, 300 administrative segregation inmates, 3,892 Level IV inmates and 480 inmates in gyms.  It included housing, dining, food preparation using cook/chill methods, visiting space, vocational and educational program space, recreation areas, infirmary and health services, administration buildings, maintenance and utility facilities and a warehouse.

Federal Bureau of Prisons, Herlong, California
J.R. Conkey & Associates teamed with Jacobs Engineering providing construction management and related services for this project. The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Herlong is a medium security institution housing male inmates, with a satellite camp that houses minimum security male inmates. The facility is located in the Sierra highlands of northern California, 70 miles northwest of Reno, Nevada, and 190 miles northeast of Sacramento, California. Judicial District: Eastern California.
Park County Law Enforcement Center, Cody Wyoming

This project entailed estimating services for a new law enforcement center which included parking lots, approaches, on-site utilities, fencing and a 60,000 square foot building which would house a jail and law enforcement offices including dispatch, jail and administration, Sheriff’s office and the City of Cody Police Department.
